Look to the Mediterranean diet for wisdom

I am not one to argue that there is a “true” single diet for everyone. There are a number of ways to eat nutritiously and good, and what’s right for one person may not be right for the next person.

That said, healthy diet tend to have certain things in common, like many veges and fruits and a bit of sugar and processed food.

In practice, it is a diet rich in fruits, veges, nuts and seeds. Fish are more common than poultry and much more common than red meat. Olive oil is the main source of fat, and moderate consumption of red wine. Includes a portion of the day or two dairy foods (yogurt). Olives and beans enjoy several times a week and eggs and sweets appear several times a week.
